Cyclist cornering on road

Your ride, unencrypted

Measure how you actually ride. Understand cornering forces, braking smoothness, body position stability, and how your equipment affects comfort—with objective data from IMU motion analysis.

Why Vertex Exists

Standard cycling computers track speed, cadence, and heart rate. But they can't measure how you actually ride: cornering forces, braking technique, body position stability, or how equipment changes affect your comfort and performance.

Standard Cycling Computer

  • • Speed & Cadence
  • • Heart Rate
  • • Power Output
  • • GPS Track
  • • Lean Angle: ❌
  • • G-Forces: ❌
  • • Cornering Analysis: ❌

Vertex + IMU Logger

  • • All Standard Metrics
  • • + Lean Angle & Cornering Forces
  • • + Braking Smoothness Analysis
  • • + Road Surface Quality (Vibration)
  • • + Body Position Stability
  • • + Equipment Impact Testing
  • • + Traction Circle & Line Analysis

How It Works

STEP 1

Collect Data

Install the IMU logger on your bike via Garmin mount. Records 100Hz motion data to SD card during your ride.

STEP 2

Upload Files

Drag and drop your IMU CSV file and optional FIT file from your cycling computer. Automatic ride detection and parsing.

STEP 3

Analyze Your Riding

View cornering forces, braking smoothness, road surface quality, and body position stability. Test equipment changes with objective data.

What You Can Measure

Traction Circle

See exact lateral and longitudinal G-forces plotted in real-time. Understand your bike's grip limits.

Lean Angle Timeline

Track your maximum lean angle by corner. Identify which turns you're pushing hard vs. riding conservatively.

Braking Analysis

Identify heavy vs. smooth braking patterns. See deceleration events and optimize your brake points.

Road Surface & Equipment

Measure road vibration objectively. Test if tire pressure, handlebar, or saddle changes actually improve comfort.
